The KFA has 3 Academics Which are;

Secondary School Cadre
Professional Non-Scholarship Cadre
Professional Scholarship Cadre

Also, the students are grouped into three categories which are;

Junior cadre: Comprises of student between ages 13–14
Intermediate cadre: Comprises of students between ages 15–16
Elite cadre: Comprises of students between ages 17–19.
